My foundation dog, Roemeo:

RoemeoWhat can I say in brief about him?  He was that once in a lifetime dog who makes every dog after him have to live to a standard he set.  Roemeo was a Blue brindle with red highlights — it’s a rare coat coloration and I loved it.  His accomplishments, beyond owning my heart:  Roemeo was on the cover of Dog Fancy in July 2001.  He appeared in Bully Breeds, Am Staff Calendars and many other publications.  He was the father of 3 OFA Excellent hips.  Roemeo was:  BISS BIS Ch Buena Vista Honkitonk Roemeo, CERF, OFA Hips, OFA Cardio, OFA Elbows, OFA Patellas, CGC, TT and a few titles I’m sure I’m missing.  BIS is Best In Show; BISS is Best In Show Specialty.  Roemeo got the “almost” complete set of ribbons with the exception of ever getting a second, third or fourth place class ribbon.  Not too shabby!  He was trained through his CD and onto his CDX but due to me working swing shifts I could never get those titles completed.  His TT is Temperament Tested (by atts.org) and CGC is Canine Good Citizen. The OFA titles are Orthopedic Foundation for Animals certifications.  CERF is Canine Eye Registration Foundation.

My sweet Rueger:

One of a kind, this young man.  He has a great story which will have to come later.  As it stands now he is Ch Pirouette’s BJ Rugeroc Roemeo, OFA Excellent.

My sweet Ruger:

I try very hard to not re-use names but this boy commanded the Ruger brand.  And really, what’s an “e” here or there?  He was an amazing dog, seven generations down from Roemeo.  His story will come soon.  He was BISS Gr CH Pirouette’s Rebbull Exemplar, OFA Excellent.  He finished his Ch with 4 majors.  He obtained his BISS at the Kentuckiana Specialties.

My amazing Chance:

Chance’s story is coming as well.  He’s not a dog I bred; that distinction goes to Tonya Cannon Wheaton of SnT Kennel’s.  I am very lucky Tonya allowed me to own this handsome and versatile boy.  He is BISS BR GCh SnT’s All Eyes on Me at TTK’s RN CGC-A, Advanced Tricks.  BR GCh is Bronze Grand Champion, a high distinction; he finished his Ch with 5 majors.  You can look at him and tell…yes, this is a beautiful dog.  RN is rally Novice — he’s working in Advanced at the moment.  CGC-A is Advanced CGC.  He obtained all three tricks titles in one day.  He is also working on his Novice Obedience title and will soon start up Nosework.

Sweet Sweet Fitz:

Fitz is two single points away from his AKC Championship.  I enter him occasionally because he loves to show.  However, he’s 10 and retirement is upon him.  He is Majors-pointed Divinity’s Raven, bred by Renee Kay.  Amazing, smooth, even temperament; smarts; and a lovely, rare black.  If he remains as my pet and not a show dog, I’m happy because he has out-produced himself beautifully.  Thanks to Renee for trusting me with this gorgeous boy.
