Annual All-Breed AKC show and Puppy B Match

The Elgin Kennel Club has been a fixture in the Elgin area for more than two decades.  The club has gone through many show sites, but the current one, at the Kane County Fairgrounds, is air conditioned; easily accessed, and has ample parking, for regular vehicles and motor homes for those traveling a long distance.

The show encompasses three days; it falls on either the third or fourth weekend of August.

Friday night is our B-match where you can practice with your dog in preparation of the Saturday and Sunday shows.  There will be Junior Showmanship competition as well. For more information please contact dianemkeller2031 @ gmail. com (remove spaces).

Saturday is our regular AKC show which features conformation competition, 4-6 month puppy competition, Junior Showmanship and Owner-Handled series competition.  In addition, there are two specialties, The Chicago Bulldog Club and The Kerry Blue Terrier Club of Chicago.  This is a great opportunity to view many fine specimens of your favorite breeds.

Sunday features conformation competition and the same specialty clubs from the day before.

For more information, here are the committees and their respective chairs:

The Show Committee is chaired by Diane Keller.

The Judges Selection Committee is chaired by Heidi McClure.  Committee members are Cindy Pagurski and Toni Walters-Scheer with Sandy Rutkas and Diane Keller as Liaisons.
